We’re looking forward to reviewing:
Full-length manuscripts of poetry in translation or short prose in translation to be considered for publication as a bilingual book
Individual pieces of poetry in translation, short prose in translation, original poetry in English, or original short prose in English to be considered for publication in our international multilingual journal
Individual recipes originally written in English or translated into English to be considered for publication in our first international multilingual cookbook

Bilingual Print Book
Please send collections of poetry or short prose in translation (anywhere between 50-200 pages) to submissions@oomphpress.com. In the subject line, write Book Submission – Your Last Name. When submitting, please include a copy of both the translated and original text (as a .pdf and .doc or .docx), written proof that you have permission to publish the translated text and a brief bio of both the author and translator. If accepted, you will be expected to provide a note on translation and a list of places where any excerpts were previously published.
Multilingual Journal
(submissions currently under review)
Please send 1 - 5 pieces of poetry in translation, short prose in translation, original poetry in English, or original short prose in English (10 pages max.) to submissions@oomphpress.com. In the subject line, write Journal Submission – Your Last Name. When submitting translations, please include a copy of both the translated and original text (as a .pdf and .doc or .docx) and written proof that you have permission to publish the translated text and a brief bio of both the original author and translator; when submitting original poetry in English or original short prose in English, please submit a brief author bio—while we welcome poems & short prose of all styles from a wide variety of voices, we are particularly interested in work that is experimental, avant-garde, and most importantly, international. Deadline: August 1, 2021
Multilingual Cookbook
Please send a recipe or a series of recipes (5 pages max.), along with a short write-up of the cultural, linguistic, and/or historical context of the dish(es) (approximately 250 words per recipe), to submissions@oomphpress.com. In the subject line, write Cookbook Submission – Your Last Name. When submitting recipes in translation, please include a copy of both the translated and original text; when submitting recipes in translation or original recipes in English, please submit work as a .pdf and .doc or .docx, along with a brief bio. While we welcome all recipes, we are particularly interested in stews and soups, gumbos and jambalayas, locros and curries, sancochos and phos—we’re looking for international iterations of the creole & cajun; we’re aiming to assemble a collection of local and regional dishes into the first international multilingual OOMPH! cookbook.
